Causes of Obesity
Obesity can be a result of different activities or underlying health conditions and is sometimes unavoidable. For some people, it is the extra calories that eventually leads to obesity. Common causes of obesity are:

Symptoms of Obesity
The main symptom of obesity is weight gain for unexplainable reasons or specific health conditions. A person is obese if their BMI (Body Mass Index) is 30 or above.
The BMI scale categorizes individuals into different weight status, such as:
- BMI below 18.5: Underweight
- BMI range of 18.5 to 24.9: Normal/healthy
- BMI range of 25 to 29.9: Overweight/unhealthy
- BMI of 30 or above: Obesity
