What is Unknown Poisonings?
Unknown poisonings are situations when you don’t know the source of poison ingested by a person, and can be highly life-threatening if not attended by a medical expert within time.

When to see a doctor
You must rush to a doctor as soon as the symptoms of poisoning are seen. If you are aware of any drug intake or relevant exposures, make sure to report to the medical professional accurately. Your doctor will ask a few questions and carry out some tests to know the source of poisoning before getting started with treatment.
The right information provided by the patient or the accompanying person can help in faster treatment. The doctor will also suggest you with some preventative measures to avoid a similar situation in future. Some of which are:
- Adult education
- Cross-checking the medication and dosage before consumption
- Storing all the medicines and household chemical away from the reach of children, like in a cupboard fixed high from the ground.
- Label the drugs carefully in separate packets or compartments.
